The inme: Period Tracker, Pregnancy & Ovulation app is significant and is like a personal monitor for your periods and state of fertility. It gives you a sense of security when it comes to what time of the month you are in and when you are most likely to get pregnant. Hence, one is prone to know if they are pregnant or not easily. Furthermore, the app is compatible only with iphone, ipad and ipod.
Once you open the app, you will be given a chance to fill in the date of your last period and the last day of that period. This highlights how many day’s your period lasted and helps note if you have been having irregular or regular periods. Fortunately, for someone who doesn’t know whether your period falls in the normal 28 days gap, you can still go ahead and choose the ‘I don’t know’ option and it will grant you full access to the app. The last day of your period will be calculated by the app so that you will know when to expect them in the coming month. Let us say in the month of October your first period was on the 20th and your last on the 26th. This means that in November, you are to have your period on the 23rd. This will be the first thing you will see every time you open the app. I think this is a vital aspect of the app because it is like a constant reminder each time you stumble upon the app.
The main features on the app are; Cycle Settings, Reminders, Health FAQ and Feedback. I would like to summarise the app so that you can get a better view of it.
CYCLE SETTINGS:
It allows you to set whether you are having 28 days cycle length periods or not. Additionally, the period length is also added. It is important to know whether you are menstruating monthly within the normal range of days which is 3 to 7 days.
REMINDERS:
This has to be one of the best features of this app because it keeps you on check and ready for the next period. You will receive a reminder the Day before the period and when you are ovulating. However, it is an optional setting due to the fact that you can either turn it on or off. I think it is vital especially for women who are constantly on the move and have busy schedules.
HEALTH FAQ :
This feature follows up questions like; What if I don’t know how long is my cycle?, When does the menstrual cycle start?, Why should I follow my period?, How long is a normal menstrual cycle?, What are the phases of a menstrual cycle?, What if my cycle is irregular?, What should I do if I have sever PMS and Why is my period late?
FEEDBACK :
It is an optional feature and If you don’t want, you need to give a feedback.
Having used the app, it is both efficient and fun to have around. If it was left for me I would say all women should download this app. However, am not saying it is the best for all women but it does definitely give you a sense of security.
