With lot of funds flowing in and start-ups realized the requirement of having technically strong talent to survive in the market.
People once enjoyed coding. Wonderful apps came up. Everything from Facebook to WhatsApp happened. Then came politics. incompetent project managers made writing awesome code is not skill or even a requirement. All they care about meeting deadlines, then fix bugs for extra money. The talent inside you slowly fade away. You will start makeup things.
Freshdesk has a mission to save the talent of yours and now conducting “Save the hacker”, Chennai’s biggest 2-day Hackathon. You can participate in the hackathon to show your skills, build new products and also win prized worth Rs. 50 lakhs. There is free goodies for the all the teams that are shortlisted.
Freshdesk also partnered with companies like Google, Twilio, Box that provides free credits to help hackers to build their applications on the cloud or their own platform. Olacabs will be offering free rides to the hackathon venue for participants.
Last year itself “Save the Hacker” saw 80 programmers forming 30 teams participate. Most of them were IT engineers who had experience of just a year or two. Some college students also took participation.
If you are interested, you may form a team and register on savethehacker.com. You have to submit your idea in either of the mobile or web platform. The top 100 teams will be shortlisted, will be invited to the hackathon.
Freshdesk along with Google said they will also have mentors at the event to help developers shape and prune their ideas during the event.
