According to a recent study, 20% of the retail ecommerce sales in the year 2014 were done on tablets or smartphones. Analysts indicate that the trend will continue over the next four years and more consumers will adapt e-commerce as a way of purchasing and selling products. Using mobile phone as a way of paring instead of credit and debit card will be more common especially with the introduction of Google wallet and Apple Pay services. The mobile app developers are looking for new ways of producing applications that will allows the users to process the transactions without the need of physical cash, debit, or credit cards.
